General Information (简介) 

Shuigeng Zhou received his Bachelor Degree of Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) in July 1988, his Master Degree of Engineering from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) in March 1991, and his PhD of Computer Science from Fudan University in July 2000. He served in Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology from April 1991 to August 1997, as an engineer and a senior engineer (since August 1995) respectively. Before joining Fudan University, he was a post-doctoral researcher in State Key Lab of Software Engineering, Wuhan University from August 2000 to August 2002.

Shuigeng Zhou is the Executive Vice Director (since 2005) of Shanghai Key Lab of Intelligent Information Processing, Fudan University. He also heads the research group of Advanced Data Management and Information Systems (ADMIS). He was the Vice Chairman (in charge of research affairs) of Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Fudan University, from January 2005 to May 2008.  The CSE Department was merged into the School of Computer Science, Fudan University in May 2008.


His current research interests include database (especially distributed data management, datasapce management), data mining (including spatial clustering, text classification, outlier detection, biological data mining),  P2P computing, information retrieval, Web searching and mining, Bioinformatics, Complex Networks (modeling and applications), and geographic information systems (GIS).

Post-doctoral Position Available:  ONE post-doctoral position is available in Shuigeng Zhou's group. Applicants who graduated from top domestic universities and specialize in database and information retrieval are favored. Her/his duty covers innovative  research and development of XML management techniques and tools. Applicants are welcome to contact Shuigeng Zhou via his email.
